Jul 13, 2012 · If it wasn’t for the fact that Japanese Sega Mega Drive games are slightly larger than Sega Genesis cartridges most of the Japanese Mega Drive library would be playable on the Sega Genesis. The larger Mega Drive carts just don’t fit into the slot opening of a Genesis. A lot of games didn’t have any form of region encoding. No you cannot put your Sega Genesis cartridges in it, the cartridge slot is not functional. You can however load games onto a usb stick and insert it in the second controller port. If you look on amazon or ebay they sell usb sticks for it with anywhere from 500 to 800 games loaded on it. Casino Games. Now I don't have to waste these games by throwing them away and spending money to buy them :P I can't believe I got Sonic 3 working. Maybe there's hope after all!
